Frequently Asked Questions

Is a group environment best for my child?

Our small group classes are perfect for everyone, as we offer interactive lessons which allow students to participate in classes whenever they feel like it. This enables them to engage actively in concepts they feel strong about and sit back and listen on weaker concepts. Hence, students learn from other students in a learning community fostered by our excellent tutors.

This isn’t your typical high school online class. Our tutors are always watching out for all of their students, ensuring they do not fall behind at all. We will reach out to any student we think is struggling to provide additional support and help. We have great tutors who have taught all types of students, so don’t fret!

Plus, we offer a no-obligation trial lesson so your child can see if it works for them!

What if my child is behind, will they catch up at all?

We understand that no one wants to feel behind or lost in learning environments; which can discourage students from participating in lessons. Our tutors are trained to support our students as much as possible, including providing 24/7 text support and joining quick 1-on-1 calls to help clear up confusion after classes.

Each tutor will also communicate with your child before they join a class for the first time so they know what their strengths and weaknesses are, so they can adjust lessons and provide additional support.

Furthermore, we always provide previous lesson materials for earlier topics via class recordings and previously handed out materials, along with optional homework if the child requests it. Our tutors always explain new concepts from the beginning, so even if your child missed out on some previous concepts, this won’t stop them from learning in our classes!

This, however, does require the student to put in extra effort to catch up. But if they put in the effort, we promise our tutors will do everything they can to support them and ensure they catch up and achieve their own success.

We understand each student is different. Contact us for more details and see what we can do for your child.

What after class support do you offer?

Tutors are always freely accessible 24/7, just a text or message away. We aim for all tutors to reply back within 1 business day (however, we often reply sooner, even within hours!). Our tutors are happy to field any course-related questions our students have or even join a quick call or two!

How does payment work?

For our lessons, we charge a flat rate of $35 per hour (currently discounted to $30), billed termly.

We understand that this might not be possible for some students and therefore offer flexible payment plans. Just contact us for more details!

Is there a trial lesson?

Yes, we offer a no strings attached, obligation free, trial lesson where a student can join a lesson and see if it suits them. If it does, perfect, the lesson will be charged as normal and we will arrange payment as soon as possible. If it doesn’t, no problem at all – just let us know!

What if my child joins midway through the term?

Please contact us for more details so we can arrange something that works for you.

When can my child start?

We will arrange to put your child into the next lesson we run for their enrolled course to provide them with an overview of how we run our classes, and to see if this will suit them.

We also provide lesson recordings for that term as well for them to catch up.

Our tutors are always happy to support your child with any questions on previous term content they might have missed out on, so they are not at a disadvantage.

What are the class times?

We aim to begin classes as soon as possible once we meet minimum enrollment for a class to run (we will keep you updated throughout this process). Classes will run between Thursday and Sunday afternoon/evening depending on tutor availability. We will provide more details soon.

What content is taught in classes?

We align all of our classes with the NSW HSC syllabus to ensure our students enter the exam room fully prepared for anything thrown their way. We don’t overcomplicate our lessons at all, just only what is needed. We also provide plenty of practice questions and tips throughout the lessons to expose students to common exam questions, as well as a check-up end of term quiz. This will be combined with regular studying to ensure a complete understanding of course content.

Do you offer 1-on-1 Tutoring?

Yes, we offer online 1-on-1 individualised tutoring lessons built around your child, subject to tutor availability. Contact us for more details.
